Hi, I’m Anamika- welcome to Ideas Nooker.
I’m not a licensed interior designer, and I don’t hold a design degree.
What I do have is years of hands-on experience: redoing rooms in my own home, comparing materials and finishes in person, tracking what actually holds up over time, and following design trends closely enough to know which ones are worth copying and which are just Pinterest bait.
This site is where I share what that experience has taught me.
How This Site Started
Ideas Nooker began as research I was doing for myself.
Every time I planned a room, I’d end up with pages of notes – cost comparisons, “what I’d do differently,” material trade-offs nobody mentions until you’ve lived with them.
Eventually, I realized other people planning their own spaces could use the same research, so I started writing it up properly.
That’s still exactly how the site works today.

How I Work
Before anything gets published, I dig into real pricing, material trade-offs, and practical constraints, not just what looks good in a single photo.
Where a trend has real downsides (higher maintenance, poor resale value, unrealistic upkeep), I say so.
My goal isn’t to make every idea look perfect – it’s to give you enough real information to decide if it’s right for your space.
